BASE: A football-themed educational app for schools.
BASE is a teacher's invaluable classroom tool, injecting fun and dynamism into learning. The app's design focuses on making learning engaging, allowing children to master content through gameplay. The app's initial rollout features a three-season structure, mirroring a sporting tournament. Each season comprises four competitive levels: Regional, National, Continental, and World, preceded by a Pre-Season. These "tournaments" consist of varying numbers and difficulty levels of questions, referred to as "matches." The game incorporates game mechanics such as coins, points, and trophies to maintain student engagement.
Developed collaboratively by the Vini.Jr Institute and faculty from the Paulo Reglus Neves Freire Municipal School, BASE's educational technology initially targets elementary school students (grades 1-5), ages 6-10. The app leverages the appeal of sports and the convenience of technology to enhance learning. All questions are aligned with the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) standards.
