Schedule I’s Copyright Infringement Accuser Gets Review Bombed on Steam

Movie Games S.A., the developers behind The Drug Dealer Simulator series, have accused Schedule I of copyright infringement. According to a report by the Polish Press Agency on April 3, Movie Games S.A. completed a legal review and alleges that Schedule I infringed on their intellectual property by mimicking their game's plot, mechanics, and user interface.
Although no official verdict has been announced, the gaming community has taken sides, and it appears that Schedule I enjoys stronger support. In response, The Drug Dealer Simulator and Drug Dealer Simulator 2 have been bombarded with negative reviews on Steam, now categorized as "Overwhelmingly Negative" and "Mostly Negative" respectively.

The backlash primarily focuses on accusations of Movie Games S.A. bullying the indie developer and their perceived hypocrisy, especially since similar titles were not challenged until Schedule I's debut. This response has occurred despite the Drug Dealer Simulator series being celebrated as one of the top criminal management games by various media and fans.
