Ubisoft Mainz has recently lifted the curtain on more details about their upcoming game, *Anno 117: Pax Romana*, with a captivating new trailer. Initially announced with the exploration of two distinct regions, Lazio and Albion, the preview now suggests that Lazio serves as the initial setting, setting the stage for the main adventure in Albion.
Creative Director Manuel Rainer explains that Lazio starts off as a peaceful region, but an unexpected disaster forces players to venture into the unknown territories of Britain, known in the game as Albion. This region is notorious for its harsh climate, rebellious tribes, and its considerable distance from Rome, all of which pose significant challenges to governance.
In *Anno 117: Pax Romana*, players step into the shoes of a governor with the mission to navigate these challenges without solely relying on force. Instead, fostering peace can be achieved by respecting and integrating with local customs. One of the game's highlight features is the ability to customize ships, offering players strategic choices between enhancing speed with oarsmen or boosting firepower with archery turrets on board.
Mark your calendars—*Anno 117: Pax Romana* is scheduled to launch in 2025, and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X platforms.
