Critical Role, the beloved Dungeons & Dragons show featuring voice actors such as Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, and more, is set to conclude its Campaign 3 next week with a special eight-and-a-half hour stream. As reported by Polygon, the final episode will begin airing on February 6 at 7pm Pacific / 10pm Eastern, translating to February 7 at 3am for UK viewers. Fans can catch the stream on Critical Role's YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as on their membership service, Beacon.
This marathon session will wrap up the saga of the adventuring party known as Bells Hells, which kicked off in October 2021. While there are no confirmed spin-offs or follow-ups specifically for Bells Hells at this point, Critical Role has assured fans that more tales from the world of Exandria, the setting for all their campaigns, will continue to unfold.
Creative director and cast member Marisha Ray reflected on the conclusion of Campaign 3, saying, "This finale marks the end of one very epic chapter of Exandrian history. But while we celebrate the end of this chapter, it’s important to know that the story continues with a simple turn of the page. I’m very excited to see what happens next in this story that remains to be written by the incredible emergent storytellers who are picking up the pen."
The end of Campaign 3 won't slow down Critical Role's regular programming. A week later, on February 14, the first of four episodes of the Exandria Unlimited mini-series will debut, with numerous other shows and streams likely to follow.
As for the next major adventure, details about the start of Campaign 4 remain under wraps. Historically, there's a gap of a few months between campaigns. For instance, the first Vox Machina series ended in October 2017, and the second Mighty Nein series began in January 2018. Mighty Nein concluded in June 2021, with Campaign 3 starting that October.
Fans can look forward to an announcement about the next chapter soon. Given that Critical Role will celebrate its 10-year anniversary on March 12, this date could serve as an ideal moment for an announcement, if not the launch of a new series.
