Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Title Update 1

Author : Madison Apr 19,2025

Tomorrow marks the release of the first Title Update for *Monster Hunter Wilds*, introducing quests that encourage competition through fast clear times. In anticipation of this, Capcom has taken a firm stance against cheating, issuing a clear warning to the community. In a recent post on the Monster Hunter X/Twitter account, Capcom stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."

Capcom also emphasized the consequences for multiplayer participants, warning that engaging in hunts with cheaters could lead to an invalid quest completion time and the revocation of rewards for the entire party. "Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such," the company advised, urging players to report any fraudulent activity they encounter during quests.

These new quests promise exciting rewards, including cosmetic pendants, distributed based on participation, completion time, and hunter ranking. Given the stakes, it's understandable that Capcom is intensifying efforts to maintain a level playing field.

The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter located in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Make sure to head straight to the Grand Hub once Title Update 1 becomes available in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
