Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has released its inaugural update since launch. Sandfall Interactive shared via a Steam blog post on April 30 that Hotfix 1.2.2 is now live, addressing various bugs and enhancing localization.
Key bug fixes include resolving soft-locks when stunning the Grown Bourgeon and addressing similar issues on the world map. Additionally, the update improves the French, German, and Chinese language support within the game.
The developers are committed to ongoing improvements, promising more updates soon. While these patches are crucial, the community eagerly anticipates larger content updates, such as a potential DLC. Recently, Expedition 33's lead writer hinted on Instagram about the possibility of a DLC, citing the game's success as a favorable factor.
Expedition 33 Director Recommends Another RPG Released on the Same Day
In related news, Sandfall Games' Creative Director Guillaume Broche recommended another RPG that launched simultaneously with Expedition 33. On April 30, via Expedition 33’s Twitter (X), Broche suggested fans also try The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, describing it as "another great turn-based RPG made with love by an awesome team."
This recommendation came in response to The Hundred Line's co-director Kazutaka Kodaka's earlier tweet on April 28, where he praised Expedition 33 and encouraged fans to experience both RPGs.
Despite competing with other RPGs released the same week, including Expedition 33 and Oblivion Remastered, The Hundred Line has garnered "Very Positive" reviews on Steam. Meanwhile, Expedition 33 stands as the top-rated game of 2025, having sold over 1 million copies in just three days.
