Relic Entertainment, renowned for Company of Heroes, unveils Earth vs. Mars, a fresh take on turn-based strategy. This smaller-scale title, launching this summer on PC (Steam), pits Earth against a Martian invasion.
Players must defend Earth by utilizing the Splice-O-Tron to create unique creature-human hybrids, such as the Squirrel-Cow, Human-Rhino, and Cheetah-Fly. Gameplay draws inspiration from the classic Advance Wars.
Relic explains the premise: Martians have secretly harvested Earth's atomic essence, culminating in a full-scale invasion. Players lead Earth's resistance against advanced Martian weaponry, including saucers, grav-tanks, and elite warriors.

Relic CEO Justin Dowdeswell comments, "We're thrilled to blend Relic's signature style with the Advance Wars formula, incorporating elements from our past titles." He further explains Relic's new strategy: Alongside their established RTS games, they'll develop smaller, indie-style projects to explore new genres, foster creativity, and increase release frequency.
