Charlie Cox's Daredevil has made a successful transition from Netflix to the MCU, sparking speculation about potential comebacks for other members of The Defenders. Finn Jones, who played Iron Fist, recently expressed his eagerness to return to the role, stating, "I’m here and I’m ready." Jones last portrayed Danny Rand in Season 2 of the Iron Fist Netflix series and in The Defenders, where he teamed up with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).
Despite the lukewarm reception to Jones' portrayal of Iron Fist compared to the other Defenders, the successful reintegration of Daredevil into the MCU has reignited hopes for a revival of The Defenders. Recent reports suggest that Marvel is "exploring" the possibility of bringing back the team.
At LaConve, an anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, Jones addressed the criticism he received for his portrayal of Iron Fist. He acknowledged the fans' mixed feelings about his return but expressed a strong desire to prove his critics wrong. "There is a willingness for the fans to see that happen," Jones said. "There’s a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f\*\*\*ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

Daredevil: Born Again continues the story from the Netflix series, which was part of a smaller Marvel universe that included shows like Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. These series, along with the overarching Defenders narrative, are now officially part of the MCU canon and available on Disney+. Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, previously exclusive to Netflix, also makes an appearance in Daredevil: Born Again.
