The Bird Game is the latest release from Candlelight Development, a solo developer studio. Available for free on Android, it blends strategic gameplay with surprising depth—proving to be far more challenging than it first appears. Read on to learn everything about it.
What’s The Bird Game?
It's essentially a flight simulator. You’ll climb, dive, glide, dodge, and dash through each stage, aiming to reach the end without colliding with a thunderstorm or being pulled into a tornado.
Along the way, collect seeds by popping clouds, grabbing fruit, and traveling greater distances. Seeds are your primary upgrade resource. Use them to increase your bird's speed and agility.
You'll also spend seeds to level up gear and combine three identical items into a stronger version with improved stats and a higher level cap.
The Bird Game features infinite levels across eight distinct environments. At launch, over 16 birds are available to unlock. You can customize each bird’s flight characteristics by equipping different items.

You Can Even Get Feathers from Other Birds
While it may sound unusual or ethically questionable, this is a core part of the game. Simply fly close to other birds until yours chirps. In response, they’ll drop feathers for you. This turns the sky into an engaging, interactive playground.
The Bird Game also includes hidden elements throughout its world. Bird feeders and birdhouses are scattered across the landscape. Fly by one to collect items or feathers. You can also earn gems from daily quests and seasonal events to unlock even more rewards.
The cycle of gathering feathers, evolving your birds, and unlocking new abilities creates a compelling loop. Each evolution improves your bird’s stats and grants a new starting ability. If this sounds appealing, download The Bird Game from the Google Play Store.
