LEGO Unveils 3-Foot Jurassic Park T-Rex Skeleton Set

Author : Aurora May 07,2025

LEGO has unveiled its largest Jurassic World set to date: a colossal T-rex skeleton that spans over three feet in length. This impressive set includes minifigures of Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, iconic characters from the original Jurassic Park film, where the skeleton is famously displayed in the visitor center. Priced at $249.99, the set will be available for purchase at the LEGO Store starting March 12 for LEGO Insiders (sign up for free here) and March 15 for the general public.

LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus Rex

Release Date: March 15 (March 12 for Insiders)
Price: $249.99
Pieces: 3,145
Ages: 18+
Dimensions: L: 105cm (41.3in) / H: 33cm (12.9in)

This set, comprising 3,145 pieces, is tailored for adults aged 18 and above, focusing on display rather than play. It may incorporate advanced building techniques, which could challenge younger builders. The scale of the set is truly appreciated when assembled, stretching over three feet long. The included minifigures of Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler provide a sense of scale, and the skeleton's skull closely resembles the existing LEGO T-rex skull set, which my son has built and highly recommends. The full skeleton significantly enhances the overall impact of this new set.

The T-rex skeleton features articulated joints, allowing for various posing options. The head can move, the jaw can open, and the arms and tail can be adjusted. As with many LEGO movie-themed sets, this one includes hidden Easter eggs to discover during the building process. It also comes with a display stand and an informational plaque detailing the T-rex's diet, habitat, and more.

While LEGO's Jurassic World collection may not be as extensive as its LEGO Star Wars or LEGO Harry Potter lines, it is rapidly expanding. I am excited to see more adult-oriented sets like this T-rex skeleton added to the lineup in the future.
