The narrative of Lollipop Chainsaw follows Juliet Starling, a San Romero High School cheerleader who uncovers her family's legacy as zombie hunters when her school is overrun by the undead. Players engage in intense combat with zombie hordes and unique bosses, wielding Juliet's iconic chainsaw in a style reminiscent of games like Bayonetta.
The original release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2012 saw even greater success, reportedly selling over a million copies. This success can be attributed in part to the collaboration between renowned game designer Goichi Suda and filmmaker James Gunn, known for his work on Guardians of the Galaxy, who contributed to the game's story and dialogue.
As of now, it remains uncertain whether the sales success of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will lead to additional content or a sequel.
