Marvel's Iconic Duo Set for February Release

Author : Stella Feb 22,2025

Get ready, Marvel Rivals fans! The Fantastic Four will be complete on February 21, 2025, with the arrival of The Thing and Human Torch as playable characters. This exciting addition coincides with a Season 1.5 update, promising significant balance adjustments, as hinted at in a recent developer blog post.

Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman debuted last month, introducing unique gameplay mechanics that reshaped the competitive landscape. Now, Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm are poised to do the same, bringing their own distinctive abilities to the battlefield. While specific details on their powers remain under wraps, anticipation is high.

The Season 1.5 update also includes a rank reset for Ranked players. Expect a four-division drop on February 21st. NetEase has clarified that future full seasons will involve a six-division drop, while mid-season updates will maintain the four-division reset. This system is subject to adjustments based on player feedback.

However, it's not all about rank adjustments. Gold-ranked players can anticipate new costume rewards, and a new Crests of Honor system will recognize top performers (Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All – the top 500).

Creative director Guangyun Chen previously confirmed a new playable character every six weeks, suggesting a steady stream of Marvel heroes to come. Speculation points towards Blade as the next addition, although official confirmation is still pending.

In the meantime, check out our current Marvel Rivals Season 1 tier list to strategize your gameplay before the mid-season update alters the meta. The original Season 1 patch significantly impacted the game, and the community's concerns regarding a potential bot issue further highlight the game's evolving dynamics.
