Exciting times are ahead in the world of Monster Hunter Now, as Niantic introduces a thrilling new feature for testing: Monster Outbreaks. This event is designed to gather player feedback and refine the feature before its official launch. If you're eager to dive into this action-packed event, here's everything you need to know.
When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?
The Monster Outbreaks testing phase is scheduled to run from April 26th to April 27th. Each day, the event will occur twice: from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time. This gives you multiple opportunities to join in on the fun over the weekend.
During the event, specific outbreak points on the map will be teeming with 8-star Black Diablos. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to collaborate with other players and take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak location within the one-hour window. Remember, this count is per outbreak spot, not a global total!
To participate, you must be at least HR 11. Note that you won't be able to use the party feature during this event; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal.
Outbreak points will be clearly marked on the map with a special icon. By tapping on these icons, you can view the details of the outbreak and even sign up on a roster to coordinate with other hunters on when you'll be participating.
Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!
The mechanics of the event are quite fascinating. For instance, if you and three other hunters take down one Black Diablos, that counts as four towards the 100 required to complete the challenge. If your group manages to hit the 100 mark before the hour is up, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the time.
The rewards for successfully completing the challenge are enticing. Upon reaching the 100-monster goal, your group will be rewarded with 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, by using the sign-up roster, you can earn a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
