At the ID@Xbox Showcase event, the team behind Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault unveiled an exciting new trailer, providing fans with a sneak peek into this much-anticipated sequel. The game is set to launch on Xbox Game Pass on its release day, slated for before the end of the year.
Developed by Digital Sun and published by 11 bit studios, Moonlighter 2 is an isometric action-adventure RPG with roguelike elements. Players will embark on a journey to transform their humble shop into a thriving business by exploring dungeons, collecting rare artifacts, and facing off against formidable creatures.
Digital Sun promises that Moonlighter 2 will build upon the original game’s foundation, offering richer narratives and improved gameplay mechanics. The story follows the protagonist, Will, on his quest to find his home dimension within the vast world of Trense. Along the way, he reconnects with familiar faces and forges new alliances. A mysterious trader introduces Will to a mission involving the retrieval of powerful relics that could lead him back home.
The game's enchanting soundtrack is composed by the renowned Chris Larkin, known for his work on Hollow Knight. Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is scheduled to launch later this year on PC via Steam, Xbox Series, and PS5.
