Path of Exile 2: Sekhemas Trial Guide

Author : Aurora Apr 24,2025

The Trial of the Sekhemas in Path of Exile 2 serves as an intriguing extension of the Sanctum activity from the original game. While it's a valuable source of endgame loot, navigating through it can be quite challenging, especially for those in the early stages of their gameplay journey who may not have built up sufficient strength yet.

Although not directly tied to the main quests and acts, the Trial of the Sekhemas is crucial for early character progression and can significantly boost your loot collection if you're powerful enough to tackle it. This guide aims to illuminate the key aspects you need to grasp to make the most out of this activity.

How to Unlock the Trial of the Sekhemas in Path of Exile 2

To initiate your journey into the Trial of the Sekhemas, you must first conquer Balbala the Traitor. This formidable boss lurks within the Traitor's Passage in Act 2. Be prepared, as Balbala's swift and potent attacks can pose a significant challenge in the early phases of PoE 2. Upon defeating her, you'll acquire Balbala's Barya, a vital item necessary for your initial foray into the Trial.

After overcoming Balbala, head to the Trial of the Sekhemas site, accessible via Ardura's travel map or by utilizing a Waypoint for teleportation. You'll find yourself at the entrance of a dilapidated temple. Here, Balbala awaits not as a foe, but as your guide. To commence your run, simply place Balbala's Barya on the Relic Altar, and the adventure begins.
