Point-And-Click Mystery Game The Darkside Detective Is Now Out, Along With Its Sequel A Fumble in the Dark

Akupara Games has been busy lately, releasing a string of titles. Following their recent deck-building game, Zoeti, comes The Darkside Detective, a quirky puzzle game. And to top it off, they've also released the sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (both available now!).

What's Brewing in Twin Lakes?

The game opens on a gloomy, fog-shrouded night in the fictional town of Twin Lakes – a place where the strange, the spooky, and the utterly absurd are everyday occurrences. Meet Detective Francis McQueen and his partner, the endearingly inept Officer Patrick Dooley.

Together, they form the Darkside Division, the perpetually underfunded wing of the Twin Lakes Police Department. You'll join them in solving nine captivating cases, plunging into the hilarious and bizarre world of The Darkside Detective and its equally witty follow-up.

These point-and-click adventures throw you into a whirlwind of challenges, from time-traveling enigmas and tentacled horrors to uncovering carnival secrets and battling mafia zombies. See the action for yourself in the trailer below!

Ready to Investigate? ---------------------------

The game is a delightful homage to pop culture, brimming with references to classic horror films, sci-fi shows, and buddy cop movies. Case titles alone are intriguing: Malice in Wonderland, Tome Alone, Disorient Express, Police Farce, Don of the Dead, Buy Hard, and Baits Motel.

The game masterfully blends humor into every pixel, a true highlight. If you're intrigued, The Darkside Detective is available on the Google Play Store for $6.99. You can also jump straight into A Fumble in the Dark without playing the first game – find it on Google Play as well.
