Best Redwing Decks in Marvel Snap

Author : Sophia Feb 28,2025

Marvel Snap's avian additions are few and far between, limited to Cosmo, Groose, Zabu, and Hit Monkey—until now. Redwing, Falcon's loyal companion, joins the roster as part of the Brave New World season.

Redwing's Mechanics in Marvel Snap

Redwing is a 3-cost, 4-power card with a unique ability: The first time it's moved, a card from your hand is added to its original location.

However, Redwing's single-use ability is a significant limitation. Strategies involving Symbiote Spider-Man or returning it to your hand for reuse won't work. Precise card targeting with Redwing is also challenging. Move decks often feature low-cost cards (like Iron Fist) you'd rather avoid, while Scream decks typically manipulate opponent's cards, not your own.

Despite these limitations, budget-friendly movement options exist for lower Collection Level players, such as Madame Web or Cloak. Redwing's potential for surprise victories is undeniable, particularly by strategically deploying a Galactus early or summoning a powerful card like The Infinaut.

Optimal Redwing Decks (Day One)

Ares and Surtur dominated the previous season, returning with a Scream-based strategy enhanced by Aero and Heimdall. Redwing surprisingly integrates well, despite the preference for playing Surtur on turn 3. This deck, however, is expensive, requiring several Series 5 cards (Hydra Bob, Scream, Redwing, Surtur, Ares, and Cull Obsidian). Hydra Bob can be substituted with a 1-cost card like Rocket Raccoon or Iceman, but the others are crucial.

The strategy revolves around turn 3 Surtur deployment, followed by high-power cards to boost its strength. Scream provides an alternative win condition by power stealing, aided by "push" cards like Polaris, Aero, and Magneto. Redwing can be moved to Heimdall, buffing Surtur and drawing a powerful card.

Another potential Redwing deck utilizes Madame Web, as Dagger's nerf has diminished the viability of move-based strategies. Madame Web's ongoing ability complements ongoing-style decks, offering Redwing a niche. This deck, however, is also costly, featuring Madame Web and Doom 2099. Removing Madame Web necessitates Redwing's removal for another ongoing card like Mobius M. Mobius.

This deck centers around Doom 2099, aiming for rapid power distribution. Madame Web assists by repositioning Doom 2099 bots and providing another way to move Sam Wilson's shield. Redwing's activation is limited to this method, allowing for a card draw on the following turn. The final turn involves playing Doctor Doom or Spectrum to secure victory.

Is Redwing Worth the Investment?

Currently, no. Redwing is considered underpowered and fits into a weak archetype. Saving resources for future cards is recommended, unless Second Dinner significantly buffs this new addition. Redwing in Marvel Snap (Replace https://imgs.mte.ccplaceholder_image_url.jpg with actual image URL)
