Sega Revamps Sonic Classics Ahead of Blockbuster Release

Get ready for a triple dose of Sonic action! Sega is celebrating the upcoming release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 with exciting updates across its mobile game lineup. From Apple Arcade's Sonic Dream Team to Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces (available on the App Store and Google Play), new movie-inspired content is coming your way.

First up, Sonic Forces receives a major update on December 12th, introducing a brand-new Metro-city Zone. This update features three challenging tracks playable as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other classic characters. Complete these levels before seeing the movie for the ultimate experience!

Next, on December 18th, Sonic Dream Team gets a boost with the addition of Shadow as a playable character, boasting unique abilities like Chaos Control and Chaos Shift. Unlock him by tackling Tails’ Challenges. New powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost enhance gameplay for all characters, while exclusive upgrades, including Double Chaos Shift, supercharge Shadow’s abilities. Six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks, along with a revised tutorial, round out this substantial update.

Lastly, Sonic Dash speeds into action on December 20th, letting you collect cards to unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic. Daily challenges provide extra rewards. Sonic Dash+ on Apple Arcade will follow in January with its own Shadow-themed content.
