S Tier

These *Tekken 8* characters often dominate due to exceptional balance, powerful gimmicks, and strong offensive/defensive options.
Dragunov, initially a top-tier pick, remains a meta choice despite nerfs, thanks to his excellent frame data and mix-ups. Feng's fast, low attacks and strong counter-hit potential punish opponents effectively. Jin, the protagonist, offers versatility and devastating combos for various playstyles. His well-rounded moveset and Devil Gene mechanics are lethal at all ranges. King's grab attacks are arguably the strongest in the game, offering unpredictable combos and chain throws for close-range dominance. Law's strong poking game, agility, and versatile counter-hits make him difficult to overcome. Nina, while demanding mastery, boasts a highly effective heat mode and devastating grab attacks.
A Tier

A-tier characters are potent but less challenging to master than their S-tier counterparts. They offer strong counter-options against most fighters.
Alisa's android gimmicks and powerful low attacks make her beginner-friendly and pressure-oriented. Asuka is ideal for newcomers, offering solid defense and easy combos, perfect for learning fundamental *Tekken* mechanics. Claudio's Starburst state significantly boosts his damage output. Hwoarang's four stances and diverse combos cater to both beginners (via button mashing) and veterans (via complex move sets). Jun's heat smash offers significant health recovery, and her unpredictable mix-ups deliver substantial damage. Kazuya's versatile style, powerful combos, and long/close-range attacks make him a highly damaging and adaptable fighter. Kuma's size and awkward movements create unpredictable attacks and a strong defense. Lars' high speed and mobility, coupled with wall pressure capabilities, allow for excellent evasion and offensive opportunities. Lee's strong poking game, agility, and stance transitions exploit opponent weaknesses. Leo's powerful mix-ups and safe moves maintain offensive pressure. Lili's acrobatic style and lack of defensive weaknesses create unpredictable combos. Raven's speed, teleportation, and shadow clones are difficult to counter. Shaheen, though demanding practice, possesses strong, unbreakable combos. Victor's technological moves adapt to various fighting styles. Xiaoyu's mobility and adaptable stances provide strong mid-range and low attacks. Yoshimitsu's health siphoning and teleportation offer tactical advantages. Zafina's three stances offer excellent spacing and control, making her mix-ups highly unpredictable.
B Tier

B-tier characters are enjoyable but can be exploited by skilled opponents. They require practice to compete effectively against higher-tier fighters.
Bryan's high damage output and pressure are offset by his slow speed and lack of gimmicks. Eddy's fast attacks are now easier to counter, and his inability to maintain pressure makes him vulnerable. Jack-8 offers solid long-range attacks, wall pressure, and powerful throws, making him ideal for newcomers. Leroy's abilities have been nerfed, reducing his damage and making him easier to punish. Paul's high damage potential is countered by his lack of agility and versatility. Reina's strong offense is undermined by weak defense. Steve's predictable moves and lack of mix-ups make him easily countered.
C Tier

Panda lags behind Kuma in both offense and defense, possessing limited range and predictable movements.
Tekken 8 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
