The Shape: Best Non-Teachable Build (2025)
Even without access to other Killers' perks, playing The Shape can still be highly effective. This build leverages Save the Best for Last to shorten chase times, and Sloppy Butcher to slow down the game's pace. Additionally, Bitter Murmur and Hex: No One Escapes Death provide a powerful endgame advantage, allowing The Shape to eliminate remaining Survivors without needing to stalk for an instant down.
- Save the Best for Last (The Shape) – Earn tokens by hitting non-Obsession Survivors, reducing attack cooldown up to 32%. Hitting the Obsession costs two tokens.
- Hex: No One Escapes Death (General Perk) – Once the last generator is done, all Survivors become Exposed and gain a Haste effect until the Hex Totem is cleansed.
- Bitter Murmur (General Perk) – Reveals Survivor auras near completed generators and all Survivors' auras after the last generator.
- Sloppy Butcher (General Perk) – Inflicts Mangled and Hemorrhage status effects, slowing healing and causing regression if healing is interrupted.
The Shape: Best Build (2025)
This build is designed to slow down generator progress and provide a strong start, crucial for The Shape due to his limited early-game mobility. By focusing on a cluster of generators, The Shape can utilize Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance and Deadlock to hinder Survivor progress. Lethal Pursuer helps quickly locate Survivors for early stalking, while Coup de Grâce enhances his ability to navigate loops effectively.
- Lethal Pursuer (The Nemesis) – Reveals Survivor auras at the match's start and extends all aura-reading durations.
- Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist) – Damages the most progressed generator when hooking Survivors on Scourge Hooks.
- Deadlock (The Cenobite) – Blocks the most progressed generator for 25 seconds after any generator is completed.
- Coup de Grâce (The Twins) – Increases lunge attack distance with tokens gained from completed generators.
The Shape: Best Add-Ons (2025)
Memorial Flower
At common rarity, the Memorial Flower is a standout add-on for The Shape, providing an 11% increase in stalking rate, which is a valuable boost to his otherwise slow stalking speed.
Dead Rabbit
Though it reduces the Terror Radius by 25% in Evil Within II, the Dead Rabbit increases it in Evil Within III. It's best used with perks like Monitor and Abuse to manage Terror Radius effectively.
J. Myers Memorial
A strong add-on, granting a 25% bonus to stalking gain rate. It's commonly paired with the Tombstone Piece to mitigate the increased time needed to reach Evil Within III.
Hair Bow
Increases the threat level during Evil Within III. Combining it with J. Myers Memorial ensures consistent pressure on the map.
Tombstone Piece
Perhaps The Shape's most powerful add-on, allowing for an instant kill in Evil Within III, surpassing even the Ultra Rare Judith's Tombstone by avoiding its speed penalty.
Lock Of Hair
Extends Evil Within III by 40 seconds and boosts the stalking rate. Though often overshadowed by the Hair Bow, it's a solid choice with certain perk combinations.
Fragrant Tuft of Hair
Despite reducing the stalking rate dramatically, this add-on grants infinite Evil Within III, allowing for continuous instant downs without the need for stalking.
