Tute Cabrero, a beloved South American card game, pits 3 to 5 players against each other in a free-for-all competition. The goal? Accumulate the highest (or lowest, depending on the game variant) point total; second place is a loss. The game utilizes a standard 40-card Spanish deck.
Card values, ranked highest to lowest, are: Ace (11 points), 3 (10 points), King (4 points), Knight (3 points), Jack (2 points), 7, 6, 5, 4, and 2 (worth zero points).
The initial card played sets the trump suit. Players must follow suit if possible; otherwise, any card can be played. Trump always wins a trick; otherwise, the highest card of the leading suit takes the trick.
