This four-player card game, a variation of the classic Court Piece game, offers an exciting twist. One player, the Trump caller, secretly chooses the trump suit and sets a challenge target.
Popular across India, Pakistan, and Iran, this game boasts several names:
- Sometimes spelled "Coat Piece" or "Coat Pees."
- Known as "Rang" (trump) in Pakistan.
- Called "Hokm" (command or order) in Iran.
- Referred to as "Troefcall" in Suriname and the Netherlands.
In Hindi and Punjabi, a "Sar" represents a trick—a complete set of cards played by each player in turn.
