Among Us 3D Launch Details
Set for May 6
Schell Games and Innersloth, the developers and publishers of Among Us 3D, have confirmed the game’s release date. A post on the game’s official Twitter (X) account on April 16 announced that Among Us 3D will launch on May 6, 2025.
Originally called Among Us VR, the game was rebranded as Among Us 3D to deliver a wider experience, including cross-play multiplayer. This week, the team introduced Stardust, a new non-expiring currency that offers players greater choice in customization.
Among Us 3D includes a permanent Tag Mode with an Infected role, proximity voice chat, limited-time events, new and classic mini-games, and a variety of fresh cosmetics.
To clarify, Among Us 3D is distinct from the 2022 Among Us VR release, and cross-play between the two is not supported. Per the FAQs on Schell Games’ website, Among Us 3D is a unique title designed separately.
The developers stated, "By keeping these versions separate, we can continue delivering quality updates for Among Us VR players while crafting a premium, tailored experience for PC players."
Wishlist Campaign
Among Us 3D is now open for wishlisting on Steam, accompanied by the Powered By Wishlists Challenge from Schell Games. Players can unlock in-game rewards by hitting specific wishlist milestones, including:

● 444,444 Wishlists - Additional Hat
● 555,555 Wishlists - Surprise Cosmetic
● 777,777 Wishlists - Exciting New Cosmetic(s)
While details on the final two rewards remain undisclosed, players can anticipate impressive items to kick off their crewmate adventures. Among Us 3D will launch on PC on May 6, 2025.
