Starting today, Dell is offering the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, equipped with the latest GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, for just $2,399.99, including shipping. This represents one of the most competitive prices available for an RTX 5080-equipped prebuilt system, especially noteworthy given the upward price trend since the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the only other comparable prebuilt with an RTX 5080 is priced over $4,000. For those considering a DIY PC build, finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU is nearly impossible, and the cost might equal that of this fully assembled system.

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC comes with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU features a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, 20 cores, and a 30MB cache. The system is cooled by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler and powered by a 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.
The RTX 5080 is part of the new Blackwell series of graphics cards, which have been highly sought after and difficult to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be the best upgrade – it doesn’t offer a significant performance increase over the RTX 4080, though DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation does enhance the gaming experience in supported titles. However, for gamers upgrading from older graphics cards seeking a substantial performance boost, the RTX 5080 is a game-changer, especially with Nvidia’s AI enhancements."

Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis design is similar to the 2024 R16 model but features minor aesthetic and cooling redesigns along with updated components. The I/O panel is now at the top of the case, and the tempered glass window covers the entire side panel. Air intakes are located at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design that helps keep the interior less dusty. The internal components have been refreshed, including a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.
