AMC Debuts Galactus Popcorn Tub for 'Fantastic Four' Film

Author : Carter Nov 14,2025

Have you ever imagined eating popcorn directly from Galactus's helmet? If you're planning to see The Fantastic Four: First Steps in theaters, you'll have that chance. The exclusive Galactus popcorn bucket for the upcoming movie has been unveiled—and it's sure to become a highly sought-after collector's item.

Dubbed the "Giant Galactus Popcorn Vessel" by AMC Theatres, this larger-than-life container stands an impressive 17 inches tall and depicts the film's villain—portrayed by Ralph Ineson of The Witch and Nosferatu—from the neck up. Designed as a detailed replica of the character's head, the bucket showcases glowing blue eyes and a gleaming purple helmet. Moviegoers can fill the helmet's open top with popcorn, and AMC notes that each limited-edition bucket comes with a large popcorn serving.

AMC is also offering a three-in-one snack carrier themed around First Steps, modeled after the movie's H.E.R.B.I.E. robot. This "H.E.R.B.I.E. Concessions Vessel" includes a large popcorn, a large drink, and candy, with multiple compartments built into the robot's design to hold everything.

AMC has been making headlines recently with its creative popcorn buckets and, of course, the introduction of more advertisements before film screenings—a change everyone surely welcomes.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the theater chain has officially partnered with National CineMedia to expand pre-show advertising. Starting July 1, AMC will feature a "platinum spot" that runs commercials alongside traditional movie trailers during the pre-show segment. As expected, both companies will share the revenue from this new initiative.

AMC released a statement explaining the decision, acknowledging initial hesitation but emphasizing the financial motivation. "While AMC was initially reluctant to introduce this in our theaters, our competitors have been doing so for over five years with no noticeable drop in attendance," the company told THR. "This strongly suggests that NCM's pre-show initiative does not negatively impact moviegoing habits."

This week, Marvel dropped a new trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps that offers the first glimpse of baby Franklin Richards and finally delivers the iconic line fans have been anticipating.

While much of the trailer, released to promote ticket sales for the upcoming MCU film, features previously seen footage, it includes a tender moment of Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) and Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) in bed with their son, Franklin—marking the character's debut appearance.

Also this week, director Matt Shakman addressed speculation about Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom appearing in the film, seemingly confirming the character won't be included. Despite this, many fans still believe Doctor Doom could make a surprise cameo, possibly in a post-credits scene.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters on July 25, 2025.
