Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete Snack Guide: Maximize Friendship Levels

Leveling up animal friendships in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is key to boosting your Camp Manager Level. Snacks are the fastest way to achieve this, but they're a rare commodity. This guide covers how to acquire and strategically use snacks to maximize friendship gains.

Acquiring Snacks: A Comprehensive Guide

The most reliable method for obtaining snacks is through Gulliver's Ship.

Gulliver's Ship Strategy

Gulliver's Ship

Sending Gulliver to special "gold islands" (revealed via Villager Maps) yields the best snack rewards. Completing a gold island awards 20 Gold Treats. If you've already collected all Villager Maps, focus on "Isle of Style" islands for consistent Gold Treat rewards (3 treats per visit + 3 as a completion bonus).

Remember:

  • You can see three islands at a time. One free refresh per day is available.
  • Different islands offer different snack types. Check the magnifying glass icon to preview an island's rewards before sending Gulliver. Longer expeditions (6 hours) generally yield more treats. For example, Piano Island offers all three tiers of Tart snacks.
  • Cargo is required. Craft cargo in your furniture catalog; some islands require specific furniture types (e.g., Exotic Rug for Exotic Island).

Alternative Snack Sources:

  • Requests and Gifts: Complete requests and accept gifts to occasionally receive Bronze, Silver, or Gold Treats.
  • Daily Goals: Check daily goals for Silver and Gold Treat rewards.
  • Blathers's Treasure Trek: If you have Villager Maps, use Blathers's Auto-Trek (costs 5 Leaf Tokens) for guaranteed Bronze, Silver, and Gold Treats.

Understanding Snack Types and Values

Snacks are categorized as either regular (Bronze, Silver, and Gold Treats) or themed.

Snack Tiers:

  • Regular: Bronze, Silver, and Gold Treats are universally liked.
  • Themed: All other snacks. Three tiers exist: Plain, Tasty, and Gourmet. Gourmet snacks provide the most friendship points, followed by Tasty, then Plain. Gourmet snacks are typically found on longer expeditions.

Optimizing Snack Usage

Giving a Snack

  • Match Themes: Always check an animal's theme (found by tapping their icon at your campsite or in your Contacts/Pete's Parcel Service) before gifting. Themed snacks matching the animal's theme yield significantly more friendship points.
  • Gold Treats are King: Gold Treats provide the highest friendship point boost (25 points each). Giving 10 Gold Treats to a level 1 animal will boost them to level 15.
  • Giving Snacks: Tap an animal and select "Have a snack!" (the red highlighted option).

By following these strategies, you'll efficiently collect and utilize snacks to rapidly increase animal friendships and advance your Camp Manager Level in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
