Does Avowed Support Multiplayer Co-op or PvP?
*Avowed* does not support multiplayer, either in co-op mode or in player versus player mode. You'll be immersed in this rich fantasy world with the assistance of companions, but they will all be NPCs, similar to *The Outer Worlds*. The enemies you encounter, no matter how formidable, will also be controlled by the computer. There's no feature akin to *Sniper Elite*'s invasion mode where other players can disrupt your game. In short, *Avowed* offers no PvP, no invasion mode, and no co-op mode. However, this wasn't always the plan.
What Happened to Avowed’s Planned Multiplayer?
If you recall *Avowed* being advertised with co-op features, you're not experiencing the Mandela Effect. Initially, Obsidian Entertainment did intend to include multiplayer co-op in the game. But as development progressed, they decided to shift focus away from it, feeling they were "too focused on co-op" (via Dexerto). Is There an Avowed Co-Op Mod?
As of now, there's no public knowledge of anyone developing a co-op mod for *Avowed* on PC. While it's within the realm of possibility that such a mod could emerge, creating one is significantly more complex than, say, modding *Skyrim* to feature dragons as Macho Man Randy Savage. Speaking of *Skyrim*, it did receive a co-op mod years after its release, but Obsidian has no plans to officially add co-op to *Avowed* post-launch.
