Tim Burton's Batman universe continues to expand with the upcoming novel, Batman: Resurrection, by John Jackson Miller, published by Penguin Random House. This novel introduces the Burton-verse's interpretation of The Riddler and is available for pre-order on Amazon.
As revealed by ComicBook.com, Batman: Revolution, a sequel to Batman: Resurrection (also penned by Miller), is set between the events of 1989's Batman and 1992's Batman Returns. Drawing inspiration from Burton's unproduced third Batman film, which was to feature Robin Williams as The Riddler, Revolution promises a captivating story.

Here's the official summary for Batman: Revolution:
It’s summer in Gotham, and a city-wide celebration is planned, marking the end of the Joker’s reign of terror. The Mayor and retail magnate Max Shreck are collaborating on a spectacular Fourth of July event. However, beneath the surface, tensions simmer. Batman faces escalating threats from rival gangs and masked criminals, while street protests erupt against the city's lavish displays of wealth.
At the heart of the story is Norman Pinkus, a seemingly insignificant copy boy at the Gotham Globe, secretly the mastermind behind the newspaper's popular "Riddle Me This" puzzles. Unbeknownst to all, Norman is a genius, anonymously solving crimes for the police before Batman even arrives on the scene. Feeling unappreciated and overlooked, Norman devises a plan to expose Gotham's hypocrisy and claim his place as the city's true savior. Using his intellect and the help of dangerous allies, he orchestrates a game of riddles, pitting himself against Batman, and uncovering dark secrets that could reshape Gotham's future. This is the origin story of The Riddler.
Batman: Revolution will be released on October 28, 2025. Pre-order your copy on Amazon.
