NCSoft has announced the end-of-service (EOS) for its multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, Battle Crush. This is unexpected, especially considering the game never reached its fully polished release. Following a global test in August 2023 and an early access launch in June 2024, the game is shutting down just months later.
Battle Crush Shutdown Date:
The game servers will be permanently closed on November 29th, 2024. In-game purchases have already ceased. However, refunds will be issued for purchases made between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024.
Refund requests for Android and Steam players can be submitted from December 2nd, 2024, to January 2025. Players should download any desired content before November 28th, 2024, as the game will become inaccessible afterward.
The official Battle Crush website will remain online until May 30th, 2025, for any necessary support. Social media accounts and the Discord server will close on January 31st, 2025.
An Unsurprising End?
The EOS announcement is understandably disappointing for players who invested time and effort into Battle Crush. However, the game's less-than-stellar gameplay likely contributed to its premature closure. Some players found the controls clunky and the pacing uneven. While enjoyable, Battle Crush lacked the polish needed for long-term success.
