Last week, the inaugural Gamescom Latam event took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, aiming to showcase Latin America's burgeoning gaming scene while celebrating the global industry. A key highlight was the game awards, co-hosted with the BIG Festival, where winners were revealed during a glamorous ceremony.
The awards featured 13 categories, with finalists handpicked by a panel of 49 judges. All nominees were available for attendees to try at the Sao Paulo Expo's expansive booth, where mobile and PC games were showcased side by side, reflecting the growing importance of mobile gaming.
The "Best Mobile Game" award, naturally capturing our keen interest, was clinched by Triband ApS' What the Car? A well-deserved victory, as highlighted by Jupiter Hadley in her article on ten lesser-known yet amazing games. With this accolade, What the Car? is gaining the recognition it deserves and might soon become a household name.
