If you're a Pokémon GO enthusiast, you're in for a treat with a series of exciting events on the horizon. Alongside the ongoing Festival of Colors and Might and Mastery events, the Catch Mastery event promises to add even more thrill to your gameplay experience.
Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!
The Catch Mastery event is set to take flight on March 16th, running from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event shines the spotlight on Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. During the event, you'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, with the chance of stumbling upon their Shiny variants.
Archen will also be available as a Field Research reward, boasting an increased chance of encountering its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, you'll enjoy doubled XP for Nice Throws or better, and an additional XP boost for Curveball Throws.
For those looking for an extra challenge, the event includes Timed Research focused on catching Rock-type Pokémon. By completing up to 10 sets of tasks, you can earn a whopping 40 encounters with Archen.
The Mega Absol Raid Day Is also Happening Soon
Mark your calendars for the Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event introduces a new Charged Attack for Absol—Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will permanently gain this powerful move, dealing 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.
Leading up to the event, from March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT to March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20. You'll also have the opportunity to collect up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, giving you a total of six for the day.
