Coatsink is bringing its calming city-building game to mobile. Specifically, they’re launching Islanders: New Shores on mobile. It launches on November 20th as Islanders: Mobile for Android and iOS, with full integration for Game Center and Google Play leaderboards and achievements.
It will bring the same serene visuals
Islanders: Mobile invites you to explore new shores, featuring a minimalist world where creativity meets tranquil strategy. Each level starts with an empty island and a small selection of buildings in your collection.
You’ll need to plan ahead when placing structures, since each one interacts uniquely with its environment. Points are awarded based on placement efficiency, unlocking new buildings as you advance.
When your settlement grows large enough, you’ll move on to the next procedurally generated island, continuing the journey of discovery and design. If you run out of buildings, the round ends—leaving behind your peaceful, carefully crafted community before you begin anew.
Islanders: New Shores Mobile offers two distinct modes—High Score and Sandbox—each with separate save files to let players shift effortlessly between competitive and creative play. Photo Mode lets you capture your most beautiful layouts, with filters and a rotatable camera for the perfect shot.
There are 44 unique building types and 7 distinct island traits. With 50 dynamic island generators, no two sessions ever look alike. A gentle, 75-minute original soundtrack plays softly in the background as you build and expand.
Islanders brings New Shores to mobile with boons
The developers have also introduced a new feature called Boons. These are one-time power-ups that let you duplicate buildings in your inventory or replace structures you’ve already placed. Each boon adds a fresh twist to how you shape your town.
If you’re interested, you can pre-register for the game on the Google Play Store.
