In Thunderful Group’s most recent financial report — following several rounds of staff reductions — an intriguing update regarding Replaced has surfaced. The document reveals that the cyberpunk platformer is now scheduled for release in 2026, marking yet another postponement.
Sad Cat Studios previously announced a delay to 2025, describing the game’s development as a "unique challenge." Originally slated for a 2022 launch, Replaced was subsequently pushed back to 2023 and then to last year. The studio remains dedicated to delivering top-tier quality, fueled by the strong interest it has received and the high expectations of its fanbase.
Replaced was first unveiled in 2021 during Microsoft’s presentation at the now-defunct E3 expo.
Sad Cat Studios has not yet issued an official statement regarding this new delay. However, the team continues to share periodic updates about the upcoming title. Earlier this summer, they revealed combat gameplay footage and showcased a mini-game feature.
