This is particularly evident with the extraction shooter, Dark and Darker Mobile, as it kicks off its new pre-season #3, "Grappling with the Abyss," which runs until June 10th.
One of the two major 'evergreen' additions in this season is the thrilling Arena mode, which introduces competitive PvP to Dark and Darker Mobile. In this mode, you'll engage in 3v3, best-of-five deathmatches against other players on randomized maps. To participate, you must reach at least level 10 and have a minimum equipment score of 500. You can also bring one hired mercenary companion into the fray, adding an extra layer of strategy to your battles.
The second significant inclusion is the Shadow Realm, a new PvE mode where you'll face weekly, escalating boss battles against formidable monsters. Before you can summon these bosses, you'll need to clear waves of existing creatures, making the journey to the boss fight a challenging one. Access to this mode is granted at account level 15, ensuring that only seasoned players can tackle its trials.
Turn on a lightThere's a host of other exciting additions in this pre-season #3 update. The new Guild Encampment provides a social space where members of Guilds can chat and mingle. The Soulstone system allows you to equip a monster's soulstone at account level 8, granting you new traits to enhance your gameplay. Meanwhile, the Stat Tree system offers persistent progression, complementing the influx of new loot, monsters, gear, and quality-of-life upgrades that come with this update.
