Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1 introduces a unique challenge: choosing to use or discard an Oni Mask for extra XP. Unlike typical challenges, this one offers player agency. Here's how to complete this Fortnite quest.

How to Decide: Use the Mask or Discard It

Oni Masks in Fortnite Chapter 6.The second set of weekly quests presents a twist. After locating a hidden workshop, visiting Kento, and investigating a portal, players must collect either a Fire Oni Mask or a Void Oni Mask. These masks are readily available throughout matches, making this part relatively easy. The challenge lies in what happens after you pick one up.

Once a mask is in your inventory, a new quest triggers: “decide to use the Mask or rid yourself of it.” This seemingly complex objective simply requires either activating the mask's power or dropping it.

While keeping the mask is an option, using its ability immediately is recommended. Other players are actively hunting for masks, increasing the risk of elimination. Activating the mask's power before returning to the lobby guarantees your XP reward.
