Dynabytes' Fantasma: A New AR Multiplayer GPS Adventure
Fantasma, a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game from Dynabytes, recently made its debut at Gamescom Latam. This exciting title, which involves battling evil creatures using portable electromagnetic fields, has just received a significant update.
The update introduces support for Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese languages. Further expansion is planned, with German, Italian, and Spanish language support expected within the next few months.
Gameplay involves locating and battling Fantasma creatures in your real-world environment using your phone's AR capabilities. Players deploy electromagnetic fields ("bait") to attract these creatures, then engage in battles by aiming and shooting at them on the screen. Defeated Fantasma are captured in special bottles.
The location-based gameplay encourages exploration, as Fantasma appear in different real-world locations. Players can also expand their search radius using deployable sensors. Cooperative gameplay is also supported, allowing players to team up and battle together.
