⚫︎ Bad Guitar Studio has officially announced that Fragpunk will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on April 29. The free-to-play 5v5 hero shooter originally launched for PC via Steam on March 6. While console versions were initially planned for the same date, they were postponed to allow for additional optimization work. The upcoming release will support cross-platform play across all supported devices.

⚫︎ On March 18, Fragpunk deployed a new balance patch with no server downtime. Highlights of the update include improved overall movement speed and enhanced footstep audio effects. The patch also features adjustments to weapon performance and Lancer ability balancing, disables the “Hide your name” feature to improve anti-cheat systems, and fixes various gameplay and UI bugs.

⚫︎ Bad Guitar Studio revealed an unforeseen delay in the console release of Fragpunk due to “unexpected technical challenges during optimization and adaptation.” These issues were uncovered during compliance testing for Xbox and PlayStation platforms, prompting the team to push back the launch to ensure a seamless experience across all systems.
As a gesture of goodwill, console players will receive exclusive rewards once the version launches, including in-game currency, cosmetic items, and experience boosts based on their engagement level. More details will be shared in upcoming developer updates.
