Exciting news for fans of the Uma Musume Pretty Derby anime! Cygames has confirmed an official English release of its popular horse-girl racing simulation game. A Japanese version already boasts excellent reviews, and now a global audience can experience the thrill.
What's New?
Cygames has launched an official English website, YouTube channel, and X (formerly Twitter) account to keep fans updated on the global version's progress.
For newcomers, Uma Musume Pretty Derby is part of a larger multimedia franchise encompassing anime, manga, and more. The game's popularity stems largely from the success of the anime series.
Initially released in Japan and Asia in February 2021 for Android and iOS, the game features horse girls—racehorses reincarnated as girls—competing in the "Twinkle Series," a national sports entertainment show, to become top idols.
While the game hasn't had a global release until now, characters like Gold Ship (Team Spica) have appeared in other globally released titles such as Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. Expect more crossovers once the English version launches.
When's the Release?
The exact release date remains unannounced, but the game will be free-to-play and available on Android and iOS. Check the official website for updates. In the meantime, enjoy the official trailer!
A playable demo of the English version will be available at Anime Expo 2024 (Los Angeles Convention Center, July 4th-7th). Don't miss it!
