- Golf Piko offers a fresh perspective on what many consider the world's most dull sport, completely revitalized

- Download it for free or unlock additional levels if you enjoy them
To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of golf. If you've been reading regularly, that sentiment should be quite obvious by now. However, there are always exceptions: mini-golf, crazy golf, and naturally, innovative video game adaptations. This is exactly the case with Golf Piko, an intriguingly minimalist title set to launch in the New Year.
We have closely monitored several upcoming releases this week, including Golf Piko, which transforms traditional golf into a simple puzzle format. I truly mean simple: you only need to swipe to propel the ball in one direction across a grid-based map, with the primary goal of navigating around obstacles and sinking the ball into the hole.
Simplicity does not guarantee ease, however. Golf Piko features 100 levels spread across four courses designed to twist the format and challenge you within this minimalist grid-based puzzler framework. If it captures your interest, you can purchase over 75 additional holes for just $1.99.

Hole in one
I find it easy to reconcile my love for games like Golf Piko with my dislike of the actual sport, especially since Golf Piko eliminates all physical effort (literally). Instead, it boils down to a direct challenge: avoiding obstacles. I certainly believe this makes developer Vikas Pawar someone worth watching if you haven't already noticed.
I struggle to decide which category best fits this game for recommendation purposes. Should it be listed among the top sports games or the best puzzles?
Given my limited opportunities, I will choose the former and direct you to our list of the best sports games on iOS, offering a comprehensive ranking that covers everything from granular simulations to arcade action.
