Heroes of the Storm: Brawl Mode Returns!
Heroes of the Storm is bringing back its popular Heroes Brawl game mode, rebranded as Brawl Mode. This exciting update, currently available on the Public Test Realm (PTR), introduces a rotating selection of unique map challenges and game variations, utilizing dozens of previously unavailable maps. The official launch is expected within a month.
The original Heroes Brawl, launched in 2016, offered weekly rotating challenges with altered maps, objectives, and rules. These creative twists, inspired by Hearthstone's Tavern Brawls, ranged from all-Nova sniper duels to action-packed Arena versions of existing battlefields and even PvE missions. However, due to the rising popularity of single-lane maps and maintenance difficulties, it was discontinued in 2020, replaced by ARAM.
Brawl Mode revitalizes this beloved feature. The bi-weekly rotation, scheduled for the 1st and 15th of each month, ensures fresh challenges. Completing three games during a Brawl's active period earns players a special chest. The reward structure (single reward per Brawl or multiple per week) remains to be confirmed. With a vast library of past Brawls, players can anticipate many favorites returning, alongside potential new additions.
The PTR currently features Snow Brawl, a holiday-themed introductory Brawl. Based on the PTR's three-week duration, Brawl Mode's official launch is likely slated for early February 2025, coinciding with the game's 10th anniversary. This resurgence of a fan-favorite mode has generated significant excitement within the community, sparking renewed hope for the future of Heroes of the Storm.
