Genshin Impact's developers have officially unveiled a new character for the much-anticipated update 5.5. As is customary with miHoYo (now known as HoYoverse), leaks had already surfaced before the official announcement, but this time it's all about Varesa! She's been introduced as a 5-star Electro character who wields a Catalyst, promising a thrilling addition to the game's roster.

Iansan, a respected figure within the game, offers this intriguing description of Varesa:
"Varesa, my most peculiar student… No one matches her easygoing, carefree nature. No matter where she travels, she’s like a child on an adventure—always searching for delicious treats or a cozy spot to rest... But beware! If you ever fight Abyss monsters with her, the moment she gets into the zone, she turns into an unstoppable force!"
Joining Varesa in update 5.5 is Iansan, who transitions from an NPC to a playable character. Iansan, a 4-star Electro user, wields a Polearm and is known for her exceptional training skills.
