Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to smartphones and tablets. PC players will recognize the acclaimed gameplay, originally launched by Nine Rocks Games in August 2022.
Will Way of the Hunter Mobile Offer the Complete Experience?
While some graphical adjustments are expected given the limitations of mobile hardware compared to PCs, the core gameplay and all DLC will be included post-launch. Currently in beta, THQ Nordic and HandyGames plan a mobile release soon. A closed beta test has been announced via a tweet, with a sign-up form available on their official X account for interested players.

Way of the Hunter challenges players with strategic gameplay, requiring patience and observation to track realistic wildlife. Set in expansive open-world environments inspired by the USA and Europe, the game provides a 55-square-mile hunting ground.
Players can choose from authentic hunting weapons, including rifles and bows, and utilize advanced tracking techniques such as analyzing blood splatter and animal signs to secure their trophies. See the game in action below:
The game features a dynamic ecosystem that responds to player actions. Overhunting in a specific area will cause animals to relocate, adding a layer of realism and strategic depth.Way of the Hunter also incorporates an in-game economy, allowing players to sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting permits, and taxidermy trophies for their lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes are included, and the mobile version will feature full controller support.
