What Is Available in the Killing Floor 3 Closed Beta?
Details are still limited, but we do know that the Killing Floor 3 Closed Beta will support online co-op for up to six players. This early build will give fans their first real taste of the new setting and gameplay mechanics.
Set in the year 2091, Killing Floor 3 takes place in a stylized dystopian world where the mega-corporation Horzine has created a terrifying array of bio-engineered monstrosities known as ZEDs. While many resemble classic zombies, others—like the spine-chilling Siren—are anything but ordinary. The Siren is capable of extending its cybernetic neck to deadly heights and emits a piercing sonic scream that can overwhelm even the most seasoned player.
In Killing Floor 3, players take on the role of Nightfall—a rogue resistance group determined to dismantle Horzine and eradicate its monstrous creations. Based on the Closed Beta announcement trailer, one of the featured environments appears to be a fallen research facility overrun with ZEDs. The combat zones shown are tight, claustrophobic, and packed with chaos.
Players will have a variety of tools at their disposal to survive, including conventional firearms, explosive grenade launchers, grappling hooks, futuristic energy swords, and even environmental hazards like lava traps.
The Killing Floor 3 Closed Beta launches on February 20th and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
