LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship, New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

Author : Ethan May 27,2025

LEGO has announced the launch of nine exciting new Star Wars sets, set to hit the shelves on May 1, 2025, in celebration of Star Wars Day on May the 4th. This annual event is marked by LEGO's release of a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship, with previous years featuring Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024.

This year's highlight is Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, commonly known among fans as Slave I. LEGO, following a directive from Disney in 2021, has opted to use the new name, reflecting a shift away from potentially sensitive terminology. The name change, now four years old, appears to be permanent.

With 2970 pieces, it is nearly three times larger than its 2019 counterpart, which had 1007 pieces. The new model, inspired by its appearance in "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones," measures an impressive 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
