The much-anticipated official trailer for the live-action remake of *Lilo & Stitch* has finally been released, providing fans with an exciting glimpse into the film. The trailer showcases Maia Kealoha's portrayal of Lilo, giving us our best look yet at how she embodies the character originally voiced by Daveigh Chase in the 2002 animated classic. Kealoha steps into the spotlight, promising a heartfelt and engaging performance.
Alongside Lilo, the trailer features Courtney B. Vance as the stern yet endearing Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen as the quirky Pleakley. A fascinating twist in the trailer reveals Jumba, played by Zach Galifianakis, and Pleakley in human disguises on Earth, though we catch a quick glimpse of Pleakley in his alien form, maintaining the charm of the original characters.
The trailer also recreates several iconic scenes from the original movie, including Stitch's dramatic entrance as a falling star, his transformation to appear more like a dog at the shelter, and the poignant moment when Lilo utters the beloved line, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." These scenes are faithfully brought to life, promising to resonate with both new audiences and longtime fans.
*Lilo & Stitch* is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025, and will be yet another live-action adaptation of a cherished Disney classic. It follows closely on the heels of the live-action *Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs*, scheduled for release on March 21, 2025.
