Limp Bizkit Rocks Devil May Cry Anime Opener

Netflix has ignited excitement among fans by announcing the premiere date for the anime adaptation of *Devil May Cry* and releasing the series' opening trailer. The trailer, set against the iconic nu-metal track "Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit, offers dynamic scenes featuring young Dante, Lady, and White Rabbit, packed with nods to the beloved video game series.

Showrunner Adi Shankar has shared his vision for the series, revealing that the narrative unfolds in the late '90s to early 2000s. He believes the soundtrack perfectly captures the era's spirit. Alongside Limp Bizkit, the series will feature other tracks from that time, as well as a reimagined game soundtrack by the synthwave duo Power Glove.

Shankar also hinted at the anime's future, noting that subsequent seasons will vary in visual style and soundtrack to highlight the diversity of the *Devil May Cry* games. This statement indirectly confirms that the series is planned to extend beyond a single season.

While plot details remain under wraps, the first season is set to adapt the manga *Code 1: Dante (Devil May Cry 3)*. It follows a young demon hunter as he delves into the mystery of a missing child, confronting his past, family, and the legacy of his demon father, Sparda.

Comprising 8 episodes, the first season of the *Devil May Cry* anime is scheduled to premiere on April 3, 2025. Fans can look forward to an engaging blend of action, nostalgia, and storytelling faithful to the source material.
