How to Open the Doorway to Nowhere and Locate Pack-a-Punch
Unlike previous maps such as *Terminus* and *Citadelle des Morts*, players in *The Tomb* don’t need to collect multiple items or solve complex puzzles to access Pack-a-Punch. Instead, the main requirement is reaching the machine itself. However, doing so requires completing a key early-game objective: opening the Doorway to Nowhere.
At the start of every match, players will find themselves tasked with activating the Doorway to Nowhere—a teleporter-style gateway that leads to the Dark Aether Nexus. This area contains the first spawn location of the Pack-a-Punch machine.
To open the Doorway to Nowhere, head to the Subterranean Temple, which becomes accessible by progressing through the map and unlocking doors normally. Once inside the Temple, locate the central altar and interact with it while holding the Amulet. You’ll always begin each match with this item, so no need to search for it elsewhere. Hold the interact button over the altar for several seconds until the portal opens. Once activated, step through to enter the Dark Aether Nexus.

There are two possible locations where the Pack-a-Punch machine can appear in *The Tomb*. The first and initial spawn point is always within the Dark Aether Nexus. The second appears near the player’s starting zone—specifically at the top of the Dig Site, inside an ornate structure known as the Roman Mausoleum.
To determine where the machine currently resides, use your Tac-Map. Since the main map and the Dark Aether Nexus have separate Tac-Maps, simply open the map in your current location and look for the Pack-a-Punch icon. If it’s not visible, switch areas and check again.
Alternatively, there’s another method to pinpoint its location. Much like tracking the Mystery Box, players can look for a special stone slab featuring illuminated symbols. One of these symbols represents the Pack-a-Punch machine. If the icon appears on the main portion of the slab, head to the corresponding spot on the map. However, if the symbol lights up on a detached island section of the stone, that means the machine is currently located in the Dark Aether Nexus.
