Have you delved into the world of Orna, the enchanting fantasy RPG and GPS MMO crafted by Northern Forge Studios? The game is set to launch an unprecedented in-game event called Terra's Legacy, designed to spotlight the pressing issue of environmental pollution. This unique event is scheduled to run from September 9th to the 19th, offering players a chance to make a tangible difference in the real world.
Lend A Hand In Reducing Pollution
During Terra's Legacy, your adventures in Orna will seamlessly intertwine with real-world environmental efforts. As you go about your daily life, the game will guide you to discover locations marred by pollution or littered with trash. By reporting these spots through Orna, Northern Forge Studios will transform them into in-game Gloomsites, which serve as representations of our planet's pollution challenges.
At these Gloomsites, you'll confront the Murk, a formidable adversary symbolizing waste and pollution. Engaging in battle against the Murk evokes the spirit of iconic environmental warriors like Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind or Princess Mononoke. By defeating the Murk, you actively contribute to raising awareness about real-world pollution.
Your efforts don't stop at combat. You'll have the opportunity to plant trees and cultivate Gaia apples in these once-polluted areas. These Gaia apples not only allow you to customize your character but also enhance their magical abilities. What's more, other players can harvest these apples, ensuring everyone benefits from the collective effort. The more players join in, the cleaner our world becomes, both in the game and in reality.
Orna's Terra's Legacy event is a proud participant in the Green Game Jam 2024, an annual initiative where developers worldwide collaborate to create events focused on environmental awareness. So, why wait? Head over to the Google Play Store, download Orna, the GPS RPG, and join this vital environmental mission.
