How to Farm Greater Jeweller's Orb in PoE 2
The 
Greater Jeweller's Orb is a rare drop from any monster, technically. But realistically, farming them effectively requires late-game Tier 10+ maps.
Breaches offer the best farming opportunity due to the high number of monsters encountered. While a powerful wave-clear build isn't mandatory, it significantly increases efficiency. The rarity of your Waystones heavily influences drops, and using Precursor Tablets on nearby Towers boosts item quantity and drop rates. Here's a breakdown of the optimal setup:

How Local Knowledge Works
The Atlas tree node, Local Knowledge, isn't about directly increasing drop rates. Instead, it biases drops towards Socket Currency (+40%) in Grass biomes. 
Lesser Jeweller's Orbs, Greater Jeweller's Orbs, and 
Perfect Jeweller's Orbs all fall under this category. This makes obtaining them more likely in Grass biomes.
However, Local Knowledge also increases drops of less desirable items in other biomes (Baryas and Ultimatums in Deserts, Gold in Mountains). Therefore, respec out of Local Knowledge when farming outside Grass, Forest, or Swamp biomes. Here are Grass biome maps ideal for farming:

How to Trade For Greater Jeweller's Orb in PoE 2
Trading is a reliable alternative. The in-game currency exchange offers a secure and convenient way to determine and acquire the orb at the current market rate. However, the trading website might offer cheaper options, requiring some searching.
For the Currency Exchange (accessible after Act 3 Cruel with Alva), specify "Greater Jeweller's Orb" as "I Want" and your desired currency (Exalted/Divine Orbs) as "I Have." Place an order at or slightly above the market price for immediate fulfillment.
On the trading website, filter by "Exalted Orb" under Buyout Price (note: the site often equates 10 Exalted Orbs to 1 Divine Orb, impacting search results). Use "Direct Whisper" or copy the whisper message to contact sellers in-game.
