Pokemon GO enthusiasts have a thrilling update to look forward to as Gigantamax Kingler is set to debut on February 1, 2025. This exciting addition follows last year's much-anticipated update, which introduced Dynamax and Gigantamax forms to the game. Since then, the developers have been steadily expanding the roster of these unique variants.
Gigantamax is a special form of Dynamax that not only amplifies a Pokemon's size and strength but also alters its appearance and bestows it with exclusive G-Max Moves. While the main series games feature 32 Pokemon capable of Gigantamaxing, only six have been included in Pokemon GO so far, with Gigantamax Lapras being the latest. The upcoming event will expand this list further.
Gigantamax Kingler Debuts at Pokemon GO's Upcoming Max Battle Day

During the Max Battle Day event, players can collect up to 1600 Max Particles, crucial for participating in Pokemon GO's Max Battles. From 12 am to 5 pm on February 1, players will earn double the Max Particles while exploring and need only a quarter of the usual distance to collect them. A special $5 ticket will provide 1 Max Mushroom, 25000 XP, double XP from Max Battles, and boost the Max Particle collection limit to 5600. Additionally, a $7.99 bundle with six packs of Max Particles will be available on the Pokemon GO Web Store.
While Max Battle Day is a highlight of February's events, it's not the only one. Niantic has also announced the Lunar New Year event, running from January 29 to February 1, 2025. Although Gigantamax Kingler won't make an appearance during this event, players can still enjoy other exciting activities. The return of Shadow Ho-Oh in a Shadow Raid Day on January 19 and the introduction of more Galar Pokemon in the coming days are also on the horizon.
